The Aimplify x Rtist agreement signing
At 10:40 AM, Aimplify and Rtist held an agreement signing ceremony. Thank you to Tony and the Rtist team for signing with us.
Right after the signing, Tony Chua, Cofounder of Rtist, spoke about how Agentic AI changed Rtist's business operations. A business owner talking about their own operations is a useful counterpoint to a technology vendor talking about technology.
My session: transforming businesses with Agentic AI
At 11:00 AM, I spoke about transforming businesses with Agentic AI. The core message was simple: AI agents can handle the repetitive Accounting, HR and Customer Service work in an SME, so the team can spend their time growing the business.
That framing matters. The goal is not to replace your people. It is to take repetitive admin off their plate so they can focus on higher-value work: serving customers, following up on leads, improving operations and building the business.
Why Agentic AI matters for SMEs in Malaysia
For many SMEs, the bottleneck is not a lack of software. It is time. The same small team handles sales, operations, finance admin, hiring and customer messages, often on WhatsApp and often after hours.
An AI agent is different from a basic chatbot or a one-off script. It can carry out a task across several steps: read a document, pull out the right details, update the system you already use, and hand exceptions to a human. That is what "agentic" means in practice. Think of it as an autonomous AI workforce that handles the repeatable layer of work.
Here is how that maps to the three areas I covered.
AI agents for accounting
Receipts and invoices arrive as PDFs, photos and WhatsApp images. Someone then retypes them into the accounting system. An accounting agent can extract data from receipts and invoices, log expenses, send payment reminders and post entries into the accounting software you already use, including SQL Accounting. Your finance team moves from rekeying to reviewing. See Aimplify Accounting.
AI agents for HR
Screening resumes, scheduling interviews, preparing onboarding documents and handling leave requests all take time away from actually managing people. An HR agent can take the first pass on this admin, while hiring decisions and people conversations stay with your managers. See Aimplify HR.
AI agents for customer service
Malaysian customers message on WhatsApp at all hours and expect a quick reply. A customer service agent can answer common questions 24/7, help with bookings and FAQs, and escalate complex cases to your team with the context attached. See Aimplify CS.
For repetitive desktop work that spans several applications or portals without an API, there is also Aimplify Claw, an AI computer agent that works through the screen.
What adoption looks like: keep your tools, no rip-and-replace
A common worry for SME owners is that AI means replacing every system they have. It does not have to. Here is how Aimplify approaches it:
- Keep your existing tools. The AI agents connect to what you already run, such as WhatsApp, email, spreadsheets, cloud drives and your accounting software. No rip-and-replace.
- Data cleaning and integration are included. Messy data is normal on day one. Cleaning, structuring and connecting it is part of the delivery, not a surprise IT project later.
- About 28 days to go live. Find the bottleneck, clean and connect your data, put the AI workforce live, then keep supporting it.
- People stay in charge. Agents handle the repetitive layer. Your team handles judgment, relationships and exceptions.
What you can do next
If you were in the room, thank you for coming. Let's connect and keep the conversation going.
If you could not make it, or you want to see how this would work in your business, here are three simple next steps:
- Book a live demo. See invoice extraction, WhatsApp automation and an AI assistant in action on our Live Demo page.
- Talk to us about one workflow. Pick the most repetitive task in your Accounting, HR or Customer Service work and contact us. We can walk you through whether an AI agent is a good fit.

Thank you again to BNI Global 环球, JC and MK Phang for the visit, to everyone who came to The Dream Factory, and to Tony and the Rtist team for signing with us.
